 Anne is a Signature member of the Maryland Pastel Society, a member of the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Society, the Maryland Federation of the Arts and Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, and the Kent Island Federation of Art.. Before retirement, she was a certificed Public Relations Consultant, working as public information officer for both state and county agencies. Working in pastels early on,  when no longer hampered by a day job she began to paint seriously in oil, pastel and watercolor. She continues to paint and to study, utilizing the resources provided by membership and classes at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, Maryland, and the Chesapeake Fine Art Studio in Stevensville. Her work has been exhibited at The Chesapeake Fine Art Studio, the Kent Island Federation of Art, “What’s Up Annapolis” Gallery, Baltimore/Washington International Airport, The Circle Gallery and the Gallery 333 at the Universal Unitarian Church in Annapolis. She was an award-winner at the 2016 Shades of Pastel Biennial National Juried Exhibit, and won a scholarship at her first paint out effort at Plein Air.
